The Business Improvement District „Niška Varoš“ (BID zone) is a business association whose founding was initiated by the Assembly of the city of Niš, Communaty Habitat Finance (CHF) and United States for Internatonal Development (USAID).
The association was founded in 2003 by the owners of a great number of bussinesses operating in the area between Koste Stamenkovića Street and Obrenovićeva Street - on the one hand and Dušanova Street and Nikole Pašića Street on the other hand.
BID „Niška Varoš“ is a form of a public – private partnership between the City and the entrepreneurs in the central city zone and has as its objective the improvement of business through the enlargement of profit, the revitalization of the central city streets and the enabling of their maintanance, the opening of new jobs and the attraction of new investments.
There are 80 legal entities presently working in the BID zone. The current business of „Niška Varoš“ is always oriented towards better safety, cleanliness, tidier infrastructure and nicer appearance of the city in the zone where it is situated.
